Youth Group
What is the purpose of the Youth Group?
The Youth Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church seeks to provide a constructive and fun environment for Middle School and High School students (6th-12th grade) where they can cultivate friendships and are invited to grow in faith together. With a mix of programs, outings and get-togethers, there is always something going on that you can be a part of.
Our Mission Statement
The Calvary Baptist Church Youth Group exists to provide middle and high school students (grades 6 through 12) with a safe and fun environment to COME and fellowship with other Christians and worship God our creator, while leading them into a personal relationship with Jesus and disciple them to GROW in their faith, and then enabling them to share their faith (evangelize) with non-believing friends and to GO AND SERVE God with their life.
We exist for students to…
COME: fellowship with other Christians & worship God our creator!
GROW: in their faith & develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
GO: share their faith with non-believing friends AND SERVE: God with their lives!
What will we do…
+ We will SEEK God, our LIGHT.
+ We will DWELL in a TRIBE that cares deeply for one another.
+ We will live lives that TELL our STORY to the world.
When and where do we meet?
The Youth Group meets every Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:30 to 8:00pm in the youth lounge (3rd floor) of Calvary Baptist Church (215 E. Delaware Ave. Newark, DE 19711). We also hold monthly events either at the church or around the area. Check out our announcement page for our current Wednesday night schedule and monthly events calendar.
How can you help?
We can always use committed adult volunteers who want to make an eternal impact in the lives of young people. You can sign up to be a small group leader, or simple help drive or provide food at an upcoming event. Contact Kyle (kyle@calvarybaptistnewak.org | (302) 365-0362) for more information.
