Annual Events and Outings
- Vacation Bible School and/or Family Faith Days – in years past, we hosted Vacation Bible School in the summer, a week-long program in the evening for children featuring games, food, and other things to make Bible stories come alive. Since 2021, we’ve been doing something new: Family Faith Days. These are held in local parks on 3 different Sunday evenings and are a simpler but very fun version of Vacation Bible School.
- Family Game Nights – at least once a year, we come together for a “just for fun” night of table games, video games, and overall fun.
- Holiday Dinners – including an Easter breakfast, a Thanksgiving Sunday luncheon, and a Christmas Eve dinner.
- Church outings to Wilmington Blue Rocks games
- Family hayride & bonfire – usually held in October or November at White Clay Creek State Park
- Fall Festival – a fun time of games and treats for children and their families that is scheduled to coincide with the Newark Halloween Parade on Main St.
- Reindeer Run & Romp 5K – Held in December, Calvary enjoys bundling up and putting on our crazy hats and sweaters to participate in this annual fundraiser for Special Olympics of Delaware
