Calvary has a small team of individuals who work with the American Baptist Creation Justice Network. The purpose of Calvary’s Creation Care team is to “love God by caring for the created world and love neighbor by advocating for a healthy, livable world.” Their mission is “to empower the body through knowledge and resources to make healthy choices that align with God’s purpose for our lives.”

Past and ongoing projects of the Creation Care team include:

• • An all new cookbook full of recipies for healthy, sustainable eating
  • Updating fixtures in the church facility to be more energy efficient
  • Hosting various learning sessions, like a pea pod project for children in 2021.
  • Working to make Calvary’s facility a “Sacred Grounds” site
  • Weekly conservation tips in the church newsletter
